Riverdell Construction specializes in Energy Star-certified custom homes and green building, which have brought the company national recognition. Its founder and president, Matt Bryant, had no idea he would end up in the construction industry. He was an economics major at Oregon State University and used his Bachelor of Science to land corporate positions. He soon realized that he preferred working with his hands to sitting at a desk, so he pursued construction jobs and found them a good fit. In 1995, he opened this Central Point custom home contractor.
Riverdell Construction serves the areas of Jacksonville, Medford, Jackson County, Ashland, and Central Point. It made national headlines in 2015, when Bryant was asked by Jim Belushi to build the comedian’s dream home along the Rogue River in Southern Oregon. For the project, Bryant worked with a DIY network crew to build the timber-framed structure out of reclaimed materials used for the beams, siding, and roof. Throughout the process, Bryant and his team were filmed. They appeared on all six episodes of the DIY TV show Building Belushi.
